These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the JoyWP plugins and related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by JoyWP (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing or using
any JoyWP plugin, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using a JoyWP plugin, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall and
discontinue use of the plugin.
2. Description of the Service
JoyWP provides WordPress plugins that extend the functionality of third-party page builders, including WPBakery Page Builder. The plugins are offered free of charge through the
WordPress.org plugin directory.
3. Data Collection via Deactivation Feedback
When you choose to submit the optional deactivation feedback form upon deactivating a JoyWP plugin, the following data is transmitted to our API at
https://api.joywp.com:
- Plugin slug and version
- WordPress version
- PHP version
- Active theme name and version
- WPBakery Page Builder version (if active)
- Selected deactivation reason and any free-text explanation you provide
This data is collected solely to help us identify and reproduce bugs that may occur in specific hosting environments or software version combinations. Submission of this form is
entirely voluntary. No data is collected silently or without your explicit action.
4. Use of Collected Data
We use the data described in Section 3 exclusively for the following purposes:
- Diagnosing and reproducing software bugs tied to specific environment configurations
- Improving plugin compatibility across different WordPress, PHP, and theme versions
- Understanding common reasons for plugin deactivation to guide future development
We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
5. Intellectual Property
The plugin source code is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later (GPLv3+). All JoyWP trademarks, logos, and service marks are the property of JoyWP. Nothing in
these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness
for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the plugin will be error-free or uninterrupted.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JoyWP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data,
arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Third-Party Services
Our plugins may be used alongside third-party software (e.g., WPBakery Page Builder). We are not responsible for the terms, privacy practices, or conduct of any third-party
services.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of any JoyWP plugin after changes are
posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
